A disappointing afternoon. The service here was really lacking and it unfortunately diminished the enjoyment of this experience. On the weekends they have a set $45 tea which is communicated, but upon arriving they do not give menus or description of what is going to be served. We had to request menus. They also immediately serve two pots of “house tea” that is selected for you. This is confusing as the $45 tea on the menu says “your choice of tea” and suggests that each person gets to select a tea. But we had to ask multiple times to exchange the teas for ones of our choice, and were met with some negative comments from the service while asking for this. We only received two pots of tea for five people. They also do not provide milk unless you repetitively ask for it, and they do not have any alternative or plant based milks there. Which is quite exclusive. The tea tables have plastic coverings. They do not even had tea spoons( full sized spoons are the only ones provided). Most of the novelty pieces that you would expect in a tea room were not present. Overall the ambiance and this experience really paled in comparison to other tea rooms I’ve been to. The three-course tea experience makes it feel special, and it’s a nice place to relax and have a good conversation. Especially Scones are very tasty! Bonus: they also sell a lot of antique items, which many people may not be aware of. Even if you’re not there for tea, it’s still a great place to browse and shop.

Went for the Christmas tea and enjoyed it. The food and tea were lovely. I do think there are a couple ways that the ambiance could be elevated to match the price. The prep area is in full view—if it can’t be hidden, the industrial plastic tubs holding the prepped food and cleaning chemicals, like the bottle of 409, should not be visible to customers. The cold drinks are served from dirty-ish plastic pitchers, which felt a little bit like school lunch. Just think about the details to bump up the elegance.

Was not informed that the gluten free version would be so different from the regular (the salad is the whole "afternoon tea") that you will really be missing out on the experience. The portion size is also very stingy for the price. Tea was good though. Hard to find any tea places where the actual tea does not taste like water anymore.
